A PGA Professional, Phil has been awarded New England PGA Teacher of the Year and Golf Digest Best Teachers. His coaching certifications include TPI Golf Level 3, Golf Motor Learning & Coaching, Golf Smart Academy Instructor, Nicklaus/Flick Instructor, Soma Golf Trainer, and US Kids Certified Coach.

Phil served 15 years as Director of Golf and Instruction at Miacomet Golf Club in Nantucket, MA. Early in his career, he was a Personal Assistant to Jim McLean and a Master Instructor at the Jim McLean Golf Schools.

Phil’s playing career includes four years of Division 1 Collegiate Golf at UNC at Greensboro and two victories in NEPGA Section Tournaments. His low tournament round score is 65.

He uses a simple and effective teaching style for students to get better faster. Some of his former students include a New York State Open Champion, US Women’s Senior Amateur Champion, LPGA Winner, former British Senior Open Winner, Collegiate Conference Champion and countless beginners.
